If you are interested in playing for the Ice Lions, follow the link to the right to our recruiting questionnaire. It will ask you to fill in basic personal, academic, and athletic information. Once we receive the information, we may contact you and request clarification on some of the information you provided.

Pegula Ice Arena

Beginning in September 2013, the Penn State Ice Hockey teams will begin play in the brand-new, state-of-the-art Pegula Ice Arena. The $89-million dollar project will service the entire Centre region with two, ice surfaces and will be open nearly year-round.
After approval by the Penn State Board of Trustees on January 20th, 2012, renderings of what the building will look like were released to the public. You can view them all on the

About Us
The Penn State Ice Lions are a Division II club ice hockey team that plays out of the Greenberg Ice Pavilion on campus at Penn State University. The Ice Lions practice two times a week and typically have one or two games every weekend. They have recently joined the MACHA, along with teams such as UMBC, Temple University, and St. Joe's University. For more information about the MACHA, visit their website at
www.macha-hockey.org. The Ice Lions also play a competitive non-league schedule against teams including the University of Kentucky and rival Ohio State.
