In his first year as Head Coach, Josh Hand as his team on the precipice of the ACHA D2 National Tournament. After defeating Pitt on Friday (4-3) and Monmouth last night at the Greenberg (9-0), all they can do is wait until next weekend to see if they keep their #2 ranking in the Southeast and the autobid to the tournament that goes with it.

When the Penn State Ice Lions face Monmouth on Saturday night, they will recognize the seven, graduating members of the squad: Ryan Seifert, Jim Recupero, Ryan Gannon, Albert Juliano, TJ Laessig, Tom Badali, and Sean Davis.

It has been a banner year for Ice Lions' Captain, senior Jim Recupero. In addition to having been selected to represent Penn State and the nation on the ACHA Division 2 Selects team that played in Europe over the Christmas break, he reached a career milestone here at home. With an assist on a goal by Creek Lewis, Jim reached the 100-point mark in his Ice Lion career. Congratulations, Jim!

Rowan threw everything they could at the Ice Lions on Saturday, but in the end, it was Penn State extending their winning streak to 17 games and putting a vice grip on the MACHA North regular-season title.
Up next for the Ice Lions is a trip to the 'Burgh to face the Panthers on Friday. Then back to the Ice Pavilon for Senior Night, this Saturday (February 4th) at 10:15 p.m. Also on Saturday, the Ice Lions will be collecting donations for
The Jack Jablonski Fund. Jack suffered a broken neck during a high school game in Minnesota back in December that has left him paralyzed.
