Post-Season Banquet Set for this Weekend

The Penn State Ice Lions will wrap up their incredible season with a time to reflect at their post-season banquet this coming weekend. The event will be held at the Tussey Mountain Lodge and take place on Sunday, April 22nd at 4 p.m. Anyone interested in attending should contact Team President, Ryan Gannon. This will be a great time to celebrate the team's achievements this year as well as to say goodbye to our graduating senior class.

What an incredible year for all of us involved with the Ice Lions. It was a great ride and we would like to extend our deepest appreciation to all of our staff, fans and parents for their support over the season. Our move up the ranks has made us all the more anxious to get it going again next season. We hope that you will be right there with us again as we look to build upon our success this season!
Ice Lions Fall to Grand Valley, 4-2

After falling behind, 3-0 early in the thrid period, things looked very bleak for the Ice Lions. With sheer determination, they clawed their way back scoring two goals with under five minutes remaining in the third. Ultimately, it would prove not enough as Grand Valley added an empty-net goal with just under 30 seconds remaining to seal the 4-2 win for the Lakers, knocking the Ice Lions out of the National Tournament.
The Ice Lions had won an astounding 25-games in a row prior to the loss and were widely considered one of the top programs in the ACHA Division 2 ranks. The team finishes the season with a 30-3-0 record and the MACHA North and Overall championship. Congratulations to Head Coach Josh Hand, his staff, and of course, all the players on a terrific season.
